The effects of Prop 114 on ADI Firearms...

Are we still selling guns or doing transfers?

As with most FFLs in Oregon, we will completely halt all new sales and transfers on December 8th 2022.

THAT BEING SAID, we will only consider transfers or purchases for those with a current Oregon Concealed Handgun License. At last look, the queue for background checks was at over 26,000. In the past, transfers of 4,000 to 5,000 would take approximately 5 to 10 business days (2 weeks).

Generally, the OSP background system takes background checks in order of submission. While not guaranteed, we have seen those with both a Driver's licensed AND a CHL get moved up in priority. Lately the list of CHL's have been closer to 500 to 600 in queue.

What happens if my background check does not complete before the 114 goes into effect?

NONE of the systems or programs are in place to provide you the required Permit to Purchase. Without this permit, the firearm(s) cannot be transferred to any individual including law enforcement officers. We will NOT be able to complete the transfer regardless of what the results of the background check may be without the permit. Your firearm(s) will be held indefinitely.

What if I need accessories or 10 round magazines?

We are still able to order and sell any items not requiring a background check. If you are looking to purchase "High Capacity Magazines", we advise that you look locally as we cannot guarantee that they will arrive before the date the law goes into effect.

If you need to order 10 round magazines, please contact us to place an order. Currently, we ask that you pay a 50% non-refundable cash deposit. We currently accept cash only due to issues we have had with the credit card cancel culture. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

What if the law is under an injunction?

Unless the injunction provides clear direction on when it will lapse, we will not be ordering or facilitating any transfers or sales on firearms or accessories that are impacted by 114.
