The effects of Prop 114 on ADI Firearms...

Are we still selling guns or doing transfers?

UPDATE: (12/09/2022)
We have indefinitely suspended all new sales and transfers as of December 8th, 2022.

While talking with a representative at OSP's background check center late on 12/08/2022, we were advised that they have suspended the prioritizing of CHL licensees in the background check queue. At the time of the call, the system had almost 38,000 submissions in queue. That is 1,000 over the prior day. In the past, transfers of 4,000 to 5,000 would take approximately 5 to 10 business days (2 weeks). This development means a check can take months to complete.

We are thankful to the judge in Harney County who has delayed the implementation of 114. Unfortunately, it does not change the situation with the background check system. The delay is up for further discussion in the courts on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. We are sure there are many more court room battles to come.

What happens if my background check does not complete before the 114 goes into effect?

WHile NONE of the systems or programs are in place to provide you the required Permit to Purchase, transfers for any of our customers who are currently in queue will be able to complete until the measure takes effect. That could be as early as January 8th of 2023 if the current block is lifted.

Anyone who is in queue when the measure takes effect again will not be able to complete a transfer until they obtain the purchase permit. Without this permit, the firearm(s) cannot be transferred to any individual including law enforcement officers. We will NOT be able to complete the transfer regardless of what the results of the background check may be without the permit. Your firearm(s) will be held indefinitely.

What if I need accessories or 10 round magazines?

We are still able to order and sell any items not requiring a background check. If you are looking to purchase "High Capacity Magazines", we advise that you look locally as we cannot guarantee that they will arrive before the date the law goes into effect.

If you need to order 10 round magazines, please contact us to place an order. Currently, we ask that you pay a 50% non-refundable cash deposit. We currently accept cash only due to issues we have had with the credit card cancel culture. We are sorry for this inconvenience.
